These exceptional downhole drilling tools are designed to match

Reamers vary from 8 to 24 inches long. They are strengthened
and their life maintained with a coating of tungsten/carbide with 11%
cobalt. Astec drills have a special swivel bolt for the reamer to
ensure tight coupling to prevent the reamer from getting cocked.
Jets are installed, rather than just having holes in the
reamer, so that if bentonite wears out the holes, then the jets can be
replaced easily, without having to replace the reamer.
